In and around North Lincolnshire
In these times of unstable and expensive diesel and petrol prices, finding the cheapest price in your area is a no-brainer.
But have no fear, the government is on the case, you may think all they do is bicker about who knows the most paedophiles, and how best to protect Israel from criticism, but behind the scenes one or two of them have other hobbies and projects.
Too many words, skip to the end.

If anyone can, Jerry can
Enter Fuel Finder, a brand new scheme run by the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero, where the government have placed a mandatory obligation on all petrol filling stations in the United Kingdom to submit their pricing data to a central database, so that website owners and app developers can find a way to make money from it, and also save the government the job of doing anything with the database they have created.
Around 90% of petrol stations are now signed up to Fuel Finder, and the government requires the final 10% to also share their prices, or they can expect harassment and enforcement action by the Competition and Markets Authority.
Under the Fuel Finder scheme, all petrol stations across the UK are required to report their fuel prices within 30 minutes of any change, and the government estimate this will save households who own a car an average of £40 a year, and you can buy an awful lot of Smarties for £40. It is intended to strengthen competition between retailers over time, bringing down the price for all drivers whilst maintaining the government's cut, (which incidentally is being increased by a penny per litre at the end of August 2026 and then again just before Christmas by 2 pence a litre!).
Drivers should not have to guess whether they are being overcharged, which is why the government introduced Fuel Finder at the start of this year to make it easier to see which stations are cheapest locally and take business away from the priciest pumps.

If you visit a petrol station and the price does not match up, you can report it directly to the government, but whether they will do anything about it is anyone's guess.
TL;DR - Conclusion.
